We love to worship the Lord through a blend of traditional and contemporary Christian music at Fredericktowne Baptist Church.  Here at FBC there is a variety of music and seasonal drama opportunities which include:

• Praise Team
  The FBC Praise team is open to all adults who seek a weekly musical commitment in this vital worship ministry.  This choral group sings each Sunday morning in the worship and praise element of the service.
  
  
• Choir
  The FBC adult choir is for anyone entering 9th grade through adult. This is a wonderful ministry with a weekly rehearsal commitment from September through June.   The adult choir sings once a month in the main worship service and performs 2 seasonal cantatas each year. These cantatas contain a dramatic element which is opened to those who have a flare for drama.
  
  
• Praise Band
  Here at FBC we are blessed with many talented instrumentalists.  This ministry is opened to those who desire to use their talents for the Lord in the accompaniment of the worship service.  We have a wide range of instruments in our band including: Flutes, trumpets, guitars, keyboard, drums, and piano. This ministry is opened to those entering 8th grade, provided they have had a minimum 4 years of band class/lessons, to adult.
  
  
• Children’s Choir
  Fredericktowne Baptist Church offers two exciting opportunities for young people to express their praise to God through song.  Grades K - 5 meet for practice on Thursday nights from 6:30 - 7:30p.m. Grades 6 - 12 also meet on Thursday nights for an hour, immediately following the younger kids. Read more.
  
  
• Sound Team
  Our dedicated sound team is unsurpassed.   Their faithful weekly commitment to providing the best quality sound in the sanctuary is a true blessing to FBC.  They are willing to work “overtime” during the Christmas and Easter cantatas making sure everything is tip-top for the final performance.  This ministry is open to adults who are comfortable with the ever-important “behind the scenes” work.
  
  
• Lighting Team
  The Lord has blessed FBC with a theatre quality lighting system that is used weekly by our dedicated lighting staff.  It is of greatest use, though during our dramatic presentations at Christmas and Easter.  If you are a “behind the scenes” – type person, this ministry is for you.
  
  
• Power Point Team
  Here at FBC we are blessed with a high quality projector on which we display everything from Sunday School  notes, to announcements, to the lyrics for our Sunday morning worship service.  We have a dedicated team of individuals who weekly share their time in this ministry.  This technical tool is of vital importance in the overall ministry of the
  church.
  

The purpose of the music ministry at FBC is to “exalt the Lord and enhance the worship of His Name by raising up worshipers of Christ.” It is our desire that when we come together for corporate worship that we each experience the presence of our great God, and the joy, comfort, healing, and leading of His Spirit, as we celebrate and reflect on the birth, ministry, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. Our ministries include a praise choir, praise band, praise teams, children’s choir, and more. We rehearse and present music for Sunday services, as well as special concerts and outreach events. Whether you are a singer, an instrumentalist, or both, we want to enlist you to glorify God through music.
